Tinkerbell's Teapot House

My wife wanted Tinkerbell's house, as pictured.

The main bit is 2 trifle bowls glued together. she then made the handle and spout, to make these she used electrical wire as this is nice and strong, she then wrapped them with tinfoil to help make the correct shape. She then glued them to the sides so it looks like a teapot.

The teapot lid is the bottom of the trifle bowl cut out and folded up right, to keep this in place she used some more electrical wire wrapped in tinfoil (made it look like wood/branches) she then added a tinfoil ball to the top so it looked like a teapot lid handle. To make the door she glued in some cardboard. To make the leaf effect roof she cut out leaf shapes from cardboard, wrapped each one in tinfoil then glued each one together to make a cone to place on the top. once she was happy with the shape she glued it into place

My wife put it on its side and cut a hole in it so you can add LED lights inside. Added some more tinfoil around the base and made it look like it has steps up to the door this was done to help it stand up better

Air dried clay was used originally but this cracked badly and after it was painted it didn't look as she intended.

So she started again.

This time she used the homemade clay.

Paint as you please.

The wife used a mix of water colours and acrylic paints for this as they're very easy to work with. Once the paint has dried you need to varnish it so it will be water proof to do this she's using yacht varnish in a clear gloss so it can be  place outside. To light this up she popped in an led battery tea light but when this is finished and in the fairy garden it will have solar lights in.

Just left to be added to the fairy garden now
