Tyre Minions

You will need some tyres, this sort of thing is normally made from car tyres, but as it was to go around our motorbike area we wanted to continue with that theme, so we used motorbike tyres. You can get tyres free from any garage, they will all be happy to give you as many as you want because they have to pay to dispose of them.

We made some with 4 tyres and some with 5 tyres, the small one has 1 eye and the big one has 2 eyes (just like the minions)

Paint them as you see in the pictures, don't make it overly detailed as it doesn't work, you need to keep it simple.

For 5 tyres paint the bottom 2 tyres blue and the middle one with the bib on, for 4 tyres high paint the bottom 1 blue and the 2nd one with the bib.

Paint the rest yellow.

We used normal gloss paint for this and these are over a year old and still looking good.

As you can see in the picture we painterd on a black line around his eyes but that didn't work as it follows the tyre tread, use BLACK DUCT TAPE, this looks spot on.

Next paint on a mouth, sillier the better in my opinion. This always goes on the 2nd tyre from the top.

For the eye's we brought 2 different sized pots, we got these from homebase but pound shops sell them, they are something like 50p for a pack of 6.

We tried it without the lids on but the eyes look weird, so we put on the lids and painted it like that.

1 big eye for the little minion and 2 eyes for the big minion.

We used 99p buckets for the plant pots and then put some heather in it.

These look awesome and we get a lot of comments on them.
